Russian Dancers study
I based this 3″x5″ oil study on a slightly cropped image of Degas’ Russian Dancers, changing the background colors slightly. I was lucky enough to see the original when I visited the Houston Museum of Fine Arts John A. and Audrey Jones Beck Collection. I’ll be using the same image for my pastel piece in the Round Rock Chalk Walk this weekend. Look for a follow-up post soon!
